Dr. Heather Champion is no stranger to the aches and injuries associated with an active lifestyle...and the setbacks which can result from those injuries. Her goal is to make sure each patient feels cared for on an individual basis from initial evaluation through completion of care. She approaches treatment with an evidence-based mindset and enjoys staying up-to-date on research.
Dr. Champion graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelors in science and biotechnolgy. She took a break from seasonal cold weather to attend National University of Health Sciences in Saint Petersburg, Florida where she earned her doctorate of chiropractic. She went on to complete certification as a Chiropractic Sports Physician specializing in female athletes and dancers.
Dr. Champion has enjoyed serving in several roles with the the American Chiropractic Association (ACA). Her involvement with ACA has involved travel to Washington D.C., where she lobbied on Capitol Hill for improved access to chiropractic care for veterans and their families. This opportunity held a special place in her heart as she is married to a Marine.
Dr. Champion has many titles, but her favorite is mom! You can often see her husband and daughter helping out around the office. In her spare time, Dr. Champion enjoys spending time with her family, kayaking, working out, or visiting other local small businesses.
